My Workflow

The last four years at NHTV have given me clear and professional insight into the gaming industry and how it works. It also gave me the tools to create my own work flow and be able to work Independent and as a team. 
My design pipeline for level design consists of the following steps:
  • Design brief
  • Mood boards
  • Research
  • Concept design
    • Iterate 
  • Whitebox in engine
    • Playtest
    • Iterate 
  • Rudimentary lighting
  • Asset replacement
    • Playtest
  • Blueprint (UE4) basic functionality
    • Playtest
  • Detail asset placement
  • Detail lighting
  • Image effects (post process, reflection captures, particles etc.)
  • Final tweak/ polish​​​​
  • Optimizion
